It was the sound of rolling eyes.
Emily’s blood ran cold as she realized that whatever was out there was not human. She could hear the eerie, almost mechanical sound of eyes rolling back and forth, as if something was searching for her through the walls.
She backed away from the door, her mind racing for an escape. But before she could make a move, the door handle began to rattle violently. The rolling eyes grew louder, and Emily knew she was trapped.
In that moment, she understood that some things are far more terrifying than they appear. The unseen eyes were watching her, and there was no escape.
